Sail had mentioned in its affidavit that Gosavi, Dadlani and D’Souza had met in Lower Parel early on October 3. Gosavi’s bodyguard Sil dropped him at his Vashi home. Gosavi later asked Sail to collect money from outside a hotel in Tardeo. A man came in the car and gave Sail two bags, which he took to D’Souza at Trident Hotel.
The affidavit said that D’Souza counted the money and said it was only Rs 38 lakh. SIL claimed that Gosavi and another person discussed the demand of Rs 25 crore, out of which Rs 8 crore was to be given to NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede.
D’Souza told the TV channel, “After a lot of abuse and pressure, we managed to recover Rs 38 lakh from Gosavi, the rest we mixed and returned to Dadlani and we understood that Gosavi is a fraud.”

D’Souza said that he agreed to help only after Gosavi told him that no drug had been found on Aryan and then sent a message to Dadlani through some means.
“I have never absconded. I will file an affidavit in a day or two as unknown people are calling me and posing as police are coming to my house and threatening,” he said.
