New Delhi: The ongoing tension between India and China on the border (India-China Border Tension) is not taking its name to end. Amidst all this, Army Chief MM Naravane spoke to the media on Wednesday amid the ongoing military talks between the two countries. He talked about the current situation on the border in the country. The Army Chief said that the 14th Corps Commander level talks are on. But the threat on the border has not subsided yet.
It may be noted that the 14th Corps Commander level talks are going on and I hope we will see progress in it in the coming days. Although there has been a partial disengagement, the danger has not diminished. He said there has been an increase in the number of terrorists at various launch pads on the Western Front and repeated attempts to infiltrate across the Line of Control. This once again exposes the nefarious designs of our western neighbour.

The Army Chief said that we have increased the capacity of force, infrastructure, weapons in the entire Northern Front including Eastern Ladakh. In the last one and a half years at the Northern Front, our capability has grown in many ways. The Army Chief said that in many areas, disengagement has taken place with mutual consent. He said that roads and bridges are being constructed at a rapid pace. The level of soldiers has been increased from our side.
