Mumbai. Good news has come to the fore on the third day of the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. Air India aircraft AI-1943 has reached Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport carrying 219 Indian students stranded in Ukraine at 8 pm on Saturday night. This plane took off from Bucharest, Romania this afternoon. A special corridor has been made for the students at Mumbai Airport. To exit from here, the students had to show the certificate of COVID-19 vaccination or negative report of RT-PCR.
A large number of relatives standing outside the Mumbai airport hugged the students. The students were narrating about the bombings in Ukraine. A student told that just understand that after being hungry and thirsty for many days, we reached our country. The student thanked the Government of India and the Indian Embassy for his successful return.
Goyal welcomed the students
Union Minister Piyush Goyal has welcomed Indian students who arrived in Mumbai from Ukraine. He said that all students are welcome in the motherland. Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to the President of Ukraine for your safe return. Russia has also spoken of the safe return of Indians. Goyal told the students that you should also tell your friends that the Indian government is making them return too, and more flights are coming from Romania, Poland and Hungary with the students.
All services of Mumbai Municipal Corporation free
Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar said on Saturday that students of our country are coming back from Ukraine. These include students from many states. For all of them, all the services have been made free by the Mumbai Municipal Corporation and arrangements have also been made to take them to their homes. There are also more than 200 students from Maharashtra who are stuck in Ukraine. He said that we will provide free COVID test, vaccines, food and all other facilities to all.

Students stranded in Ukraine were airlifted to the Poland and Romania border. Earlier on Saturday morning, the bus carrying 52 students left for Poland. Abhishek Nanpariya, a student from Surat said that as soon as the bus started moving, all the students started shouting slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. Abhishek told that we had hoped that the Indian government would take us out of here. We are encouraged by the efforts of the Indian Embassy. Abhishek further told that we were kept in the bunker. There the situation is getting worse and worse. Till six-seven days ago, it seemed that the talks of war were rumours, but suddenly the war broke out and no one got a chance to recover.
Those coming on foot will not get entry
The Indian Embassy in Slovakia has said in an advisory that Indians stranded in Ukraine will be rescued from the Uzhorod-Vysan Nemeke border. At the same time, the Indian Embassy in Hungary has also issued a detailed advisory on entry from the border. In which it has been said that entry into Hungary from the Uzhorod border will be possible only by bus and van. Those coming on foot will not get entry. Everyone will have to carry a passport, residence permit, covid vaccination certificate, student identity card.
