Mumbai: Holi, the festival of colours, has come to a close. After the havoc of Corona for 2 years, this year there will be a chance to celebrate the festival of Holi in a traditional way. Therefore, curiosity and curiosity has increased in the minds of people regarding this holy festival of colors. Nevertheless, it is necessary to follow the Corona Guidelines. About a week ago, the shops of the city were flooded with pichkaris of different colours, abir-gulal and different designs. Children, adults and elders all see a different kind of happiness inside. For the first time after a long time, there will be a chance to play Holi openly.
The people suffering from the havoc of Corona have barely got relief from this menace. The mere thought of this epidemic that has swallowed thousands of people still makes my heart shudder and my heart beats at the thought of it. The outbreak of Corona wreaked such havoc that decades will not be forgotten. The orgy of nature will continue to shake the mind in the pages of history. Yet change is the law of nature.
Sweet shops were also decorated
Once upon a time the public is eager to forget everything and celebrate happiness with new zeal and enthusiasm. Different types of Holi songs have started playing in markets and streets. Sweets shops are also decorated. Plans are being made to prepare different types of dishes at homes for Holi. Just eagerly waiting to get ‘drenched’ once again in that ecstasy of colors.

Holika Dahan, Muhurta
- March 17, Pooch Kaal – 09.08 pm to 10.20 pm
- Auspicious time – after midnight
- Rangpanchami – March 18
- Purnima date – March 17, 01.29 pm to March 18 at 12.47 pm
Opinions differ on the date
Astrologers have different opinions regarding the dates due to Bhadra this time in Holika Dahan. Although the auspicious time of Holika Dahan is after the Bhadra ends at midnight, but Holika Dahan can be done during the Pooch Kaal. The views of various astrologers in this regard are as follows
On March 17, Bhadra will start from 1.35 pm and will remain till 12.57 midnight. Therefore Holika Dahan can take place only after 12.57 pm. It has been clearly told in the scriptures and Puranas that Holika Dahan in Bhadra is not considered auspicious. Therefore, burn it only after the Bhadra is over. According to the scriptures, if Bhadra remains after Nishith Kaal (midnight), then Holika Dahan can be done by leaving the ‘mouth’ of Bhadra. In such a situation, combustion can be done after 9.15 pm during the Pooch Kaal.
Astrologer Dr. Balkrishna Mishra
According to the scriptures, if Bhadra remains after Nishith Kaal (half night), then leave the mouth of Bhadra and burn it. After Bhadra Nishith Kaal, it is till 1.13 pm on the midnight of 17-18 March. There are only two options in such a situation. The first option would be scriptural to do combustion after 1.13 o’clock in the night after Bhadra is over. The second option can be burnt from 9.05 to 10.15 in the night, leaving the mouth of Bhadra. It would be more appropriate if Holika Dahan is done only after 1.13 pm after Bhadra period.
