Gondia, Due to the vacancy of nursing staff in Gondia Medical College, the nurses working here are troubled by various problems due to additional workload. Many times there has been a demand to fill the post of Nursing. Still being ignored. It is being told that due to the coming of the District General Hospital and District Women’s Hospital under the control of the Medical College, the Nursing Stop of the Medical College has to be served there too. It is noteworthy that 282 nursing posts are vacant in the medical college, which have not been filled, while nurses went on strike many times in this context but no result came out.
As soon as the Gondia Medical College started, approval was given by the government to fill 431 nursing posts here. In which the posts of admissible-1, assistant assistant-1, servitor-50, public health nurse-4 and superintendent-375 posts are included, but only 149 posts have been recruited instead of direct recruitment of 431 posts. In which the post of Assistant Officer is vacant. 34 of the nurse, 1 of the public health nurse and 246 of the superintendent, thus a total of 282 posts are still lying vacant.
Due to which 149 nurses working in the hospital here have to do extra work to serve the patients. Being an emergency service, they are not given leave on time. Due to which, due to the extra workload at the nursing stop, they are getting troubled by various problems. In this direction, a demand is being made to fill the vacant posts by paying serious attention to the health department.
Dean Dr. Apoorva Pavade said that the posts should be filled according to the designation, in this regard senior officers have been informed through letters from time to time. Due to the vacant posts, continuous service is being provided through the working nursing staff. Out of 431 posts, 149 posts are filled. While 282 posts are vacant.
