These cases have been reported in 21 states and union territories. The Union Health Ministry said on Wednesday that Delhi has the highest number of 238 cases, followed by 167 in Maharashtra, 73 in Gujarat, 65 in Kerala and Telangana. So far, a total of 3,42,51,292 people have become infection free in the country and the death rate from COVID-19 is 1.38 percent.

The Health Ministry said that out of those who have died due to corona virus infection so far, more than 70 percent of the patients also had other diseases. The ministry said on its website that its data is being matched with the data of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
