Stuart Gilmour – who calls himself The Naked Cyclist on social media – advised Sky News he was detained in Colwyn Bay, North Wales, on Sunday.
The 44-year-old stated he had cycled alongside the North Wales coast from Prestatyn, the place he was visiting for a naturist seashore day, to boost cash for the psychological well being charity Mind.

A North Wales Police spokeswoman advised Sky News: “On Sunday 3 September, we received several reports concerning a man being seen riding a bike whilst naked between Prestatyn and Colwyn Bay.
“Officers situated and spoke to the person, who was arrested after which later launched with no additional motion taken.”
