Mumbai: The Mumbai Municipal Corporation is going to provide 80 services to Mumbaikars in a message on WhatsApp in the coming time. BMC has developed a new feature in collaboration with the WhatsApp company. In this facility, citizens will no longer have to stand in queues or visit BMC for facilities like birth and death certificates, various permits, licenses, tax payments. BMC’s WhatsApp chat bot facility was inaugurated by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
This venture has been run to provide convenience to the common people with the help of WhatsApp Company, now Asia’s richest metropolitan Mumbai. Various services are provided to the citizens through various departments of BMC. Citizens have to visit Municipal Office for various works like shop licence, permit, birth and death certificate, water bill, payment of property tax. Now all this work will be done immediately after sending a message on WhatsApp.

BMC’s ‘Whats App Chat-bot’ technology was inaugurated by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that in order to provide various facilities of BMC to the citizens, from today onwards, more than 80 facilities would be available to the public at home through ‘Whats App Chat-bot’. Citizens can save their time by using this facility. On this occasion, Guardian Minister of Mumbai City Aslam Shaikh, Environment Minister Aditya Thackeray, Minorities Minister Nawab Malik, Transport Minister Anil Parab, Mayor Kishori Pednekar, BMC Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal, Additional Municipal Commissioner Ashwini Bhide, Assistant Commissioner (Information Technology) Sharad Ugde , WhatsApp Director Shivnath Thukral and officials of the Municipal Corporation were present.

Tourism Minister Aaditya Thackeray said that on the day of Makar Sankranti, people will get a lot of facilities from new technology. BMC commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal said that due to voice chat, chat-bot, various information like Ganeshotsav Mandap permit and contact numbers of concerned officials along with your department information will be easily available.
