Mumbai: On Friday, the new variant Omicron of Corona has been confirmed in 20 people in the state. With this, the total number of Omicrons in the state has crossed the century. So far, the number of people infected with this disease in the state has gone up to 108, while the number of Omicron patients in Mumbai is moving towards half a century. A total of 47 patients have been found so far in Mumbai. At the same time, 683 new patients of Corona have been found in Mumbai.
According to information received from the BMC Health Department, out of 11 patients found in Mumbai, 5 are not residents of Mumbai. 36 year old man from Dubai who is from Pune, second girl is 19 year old resident of Gujarat who came from Tanzania, third woman is 38 year old who is resident of Odisha who came from Tanzania and fourth patient is 53 year old woman resident of Chennai who came from Tanzania. The fifth patient is a 73-year-old man who is a resident of Delhi and has come from Tanzania. The sixth 29-year-old woman is a resident of Mumbai and has returned from Dubai. The seventh infected is an 8-year-old child who is a resident of Mumbai and recently returned from London. The eighth patient is a 29-year-old woman who is a resident of Mumbai and has come from Nigeria. The newly infected is a 52-year-old resident of Mumbai who has come from Dubai. The tenth patient is a 67-year-old man who returned from Tanzania and is a resident of Mumbai. The eleventh person is a 24-year-old youth from Mumbai, who recently returned from Kenya.

Half the patient got discharged
Out of total 108 Omicron patients in the state, 54 patients have returned home after getting free from COVID, while 54 patients are still in hospitals. Out of 47 patients in Mumbai, 27 patients have also been discharged from the hospital. So far not a single death has been reported in the state due to Omicron.
157 reports are yet to come
So far, samples of 722 people who came in contact with foreign countries in the state have been taken for genome sequencing, out of which the genome sequencing report of 157 people is yet to come.

On Friday, 683 new COVID patients have been found in Mumbai after conducting 40,472 tests. That is, the positivity rate of the city was 1.68 percent. Earlier on June 30, 683 new cases were reported, after which the cases kept decreasing. There has been 1 death in the last 24 hours. The number of active patients in Mumbai reached 3227, which was between 1600 and 1700 in the first two weeks.
1410 new cases after two months in the state
On Friday, 1410 new COVID patients have been found in the state. Earlier on October 28, 1418 new patients were found, that is, after almost two months, such a big jump has been seen in the number of COVID patients. In the last 24 hours, 12 COVID affected people have died. The number of active patients in the state has increased to 8426.
