Pune: A shocking case of cheating with 570 Divyang people on the pretext of doubling the money invested in two months has come to light in Pune. The special thing is that the accused in this case are also disabled. Police has arrested 6 people along with him. Investigation revealed that the accused gave more money to some investors than they had invested. Appealing to deposit that extra money with the police, the police has warned that action will be taken against those who do not return the money.
The accused arrested in this case include Suyog Sudhir Mehta (23), Abhijhar Saifuddin Ghodndiwala (32), Pradeep Maharudra Kolte (29), Chanchal Suyog Mehta (32), Dhananjay Sudamrao Jagtap (35). In this case, Harshal Shantaram Pinjan (40) has lodged a complaint with Shivaji Nagar police station. The accused is currently lodged in Yerwada Jail. The Economic Crime Branch has done an investigation in this matter.
Companies formed by accused
During police investigation, it was found that the accused formed a company named Suyog & Abhi Enterprises and Platinium Investment & Finance Global Solutions. Deposited crores of rupees from differently abled people of different states in the bank account of the company as well as in his own account. Some of this money he used for forex trading and some amount for personal expenses. Initially used some money to give double returns to the differently-abled people who invested. The bank statement of the accused giving more money to many differently-abled investors and friends, relatives has been revealed.
12 lakh 27 thousand money has been deposited so far
In this regard, the police of Pune Economic Crime Branch returned the investigation through a demand draft named District Judge Pune. That demand draft is deposited with the District Judge through Pune Police. Till now 12 lakh 27 thousand paise has been deposited. The Economic Offenses Wing has appealed to the investors that the person, the investor, got more money on behalf of the accused in this crime. They should submit the demand draft in the name of DISTRICT JUDGE PUNE. Those investors who do not deposit money, then legal action will be taken against them, it has also been warned.
