Mumbai. In Maharashtra, after 35,453 people were found infected with Coronavirus in a day, the number of people infected so far has increased to 77,21,109. At the same time, after the death of 39 infected doctors in 24 hours, the death toll has reached 1,42,611. This information was given by the Health Department of Maharashtra on Monday.
Number of active patients dropped
According to the Health Department, 15,140 people have become corona free in the state in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of people who have been cured has increased to 73,67,259. At the same time, the number of active patients has come down to 2,07,350. Out of which 11,74,825 corona patients are in home quarantine and 2,798 in institutional quarantine. The recovery rate in the state was recorded at 95.42% and the death rate at 1.85% today.

91 new patients of Omicron
According to the Health Department, 91 new cases of Omicron have been reported in Maharashtra in the last 24 hours. Out of these, maximum 18 patients have been registered in the capital city of Nagpur. While 11-11 patients have come up in Aurangabad, Navi Mumbai and Raigad. At the same time, 8-8 patients have been found in the capital Mumbai and Thane. Apart from this, 5-5 patients have been found in Satara and Sindhudurg. 4-4 patients have been registered in Pimpri Chinchwad, Pune city and Amravati. 1-1 patient was found in Yavatmal and Pune Rural. So far 3,221 people have been affected by Omicron in the state, out of which 1,682 people have been cured.
