Pimpri: The land acquisition of the Ring Road proposed by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has gained momentum. An amount of Rs 1,500 crore has been allocated for land acquisition for this project in the budget of the coming financial year of the state government. So the land acquisition work has gained momentum and it is planned to complete the process of land acquisition by next July.
MSRDC has started the work of circular road to decongest the traffic congestion in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. The project is divided into two phases, East and West. First of all work has been started in the western part. The length of this road is 68 kms and 910 hectares of land will have to be acquired while this road has been proposed through four tehsils Bhor, Haveli, Maval, Mulshi.
Land acquisition rates fixed
An appraisal process was done with the help of the Department of Registration and Stamp Duty to fix the land rates in these villages. After the completion of this process, the land acquisition rates have been fixed in five villages of Maval tehsil, Pacharne, Bembadohol, Dhamne, Parandwadi and Urse. The district administration also informed that the procurement has started by taking the citizens of this village into confidence.

In this regard, MSRDC superintendent engineer Rahul Vasaikar said that a fund of Rs 1,500 crore has been approved in the state budget for land acquisition of circular road in Pune. This will speed up the work of land acquisition. Accordingly the census of villages of two tehsils will be completed by next week.
Decision to give five times compensation to farmers
Keeping in view the pace of the project work, land will be acquired by the end of July by fixing the rates of the entire village. Along with this, in the meeting of the District Collector, it has also been decided to give five times compensation to those farmers who voluntarily give land for the project as per the present market price table (ReaderConnor). Therefore, these farmers will be given priority for land acquisition.

- Dawn: Kelvade, Kanjale, Khopi, Kusgaon, Ranje
- Mansion: Rahatwade, Kalyan, Gherasinghgarh, Khasgaon Vardade, Malkhed, Sandvi Budruk, Sangroon, Bahulik
- Mulshi: Katwadi, Maranwadi, Ambegaon, Urvade, Kasar Amboli,
- Dawn: Ambadveet, Ghotwade, Rinhe, Kesevadi, Pimpleoli
- Maval: Pacharne, Bembadohol, Dhamne, Parandwadi, Urse
