Mumbai: On Friday, the death toll from COVID in the state crossed the century. In the last 24 hours, 103 people have lost their lives due to COVID. It is worth noting that earlier on September 1, 183 deaths were recorded. After that the death toll kept going down. This is the highest death toll in the third wave so far.
Let us tell you that 10 people have died in this in Mumbai. After testing 27,720 in Mumbai on Friday, 1,312 new patients were found. While the total number of new COVID patients in the state was recorded at 24, 948. The number of active patients in the state has reached 2 lakh 66 thousand 586, out of which 14344 active patients are in Mumbai.

Omicron patients cross 3000 in the state
On Friday, 110 new patients of Omicron have been found in the state. With this, the total number of Omicron patients has reached 3,040. The total number of patients with Omicron variant in Mumbai has gone up to 1,015. Out of 3,040 in the state, 1,603 patients have recovered and returned home.
