Simple One electric scooter deliveries to start in June, will compete with Ola S1

Simple Energy has announced that the deliveries of its flagship scooter, the Simple One, will start from June 2022. The company has received more than 30,000 orders so far. The company claims that the Simple One delivers a driving range of 203 km in Eco mode and a maximum range of 236 km in IDC for a fully charged battery. This scooter can accelerate from 0-40 to 105 kmph in less than 2.95 seconds.

In India, the Simple One will compete with the Ola electric scooter S1 (Ola S1 electric scooter). It comes with features like largest 30L boot space and smart dashboard and there is more to surprise the customers.

The angular sharp design with winglets on the sides, sleek body structure, sporty look, integrated turn indicators at both the front and rear have been winning the hearts of the customers since its inception.

Simple One will be produced in the first phase of a manufacturing facility located in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, with an annual capacity of up to 1 million units. The factory is currently getting ready for mass manufacturing and will be operational in the coming weeks.

The company has also commissioned a second plant at Dharmapuri in Tamil Nadu, which will be spread over 600 acres with a capacity of 12.5 million units per annum.

Simple Energy has recently announced to develop an advanced thermal management system with the Indian Institute of Technology-Indore (IIT Indore). The aim of this association was to improve the safety, dependability and life span of battery modules across all its products.

The Simple One is priced at Rs 1,09,999 (ex-showroom) and can be pre-booked for Rs 1947 only on the company’s website. Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO, Simple Energy, said, “We understand that electric mobility is the future and the two-wheeler is the vehicle of the masses.
