In many countries of the world, many unique examples of love and respect for animals keep coming up. These include the name Turkmenistan, where a new national holiday dedicated to the Alabai Dog Breed was celebrated on Sunday. Earlier, the President of the country had already made a gold idol in honor of the breed of dog and had also written books.
This national holiday was celebrated on the last Sunday of April. On this day, a festival dedicated to the breed of horse named ‘Akhal Take’ was also celebrated. It is known that Turkmenistan also considers this local breed of horse as part of its ‘national heritage’. A number of competitions were organized on ‘Albai Day’. President Gurbanguly Bardimukkhamedov awarded the ‘Border Guard Service Dog’ the top honor for his courage.

The President’s son and Deputy Prime Minister, Sardar Berdimukhamedov, presented the award, which included a medal for the dog and a car for his handler. 50 feet tall dog statue of dog
Ashgabat, the capital of this country, also has a 50 feet tall statue of the alabai dog, which was built by President Gurbanguly in November 2020. While unveiling it, he said that this statue is of bronze, on which a 24-carat gold layer is mounted. According to the news, the President has got a gold statue of his own made.
