New Delhi: Narendra Modi has released the 10th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana on the occasion of New Year today. Modi has released it through video conferencing. The Center has transferred 20 thousand crore rupees to the accounts of more than 10 crore farmers in 10 installments.
It is to be known that Prime Minister Modi today transferred an amount of more than 20,000 crores to more than 10 crore beneficiary farmer families through video conferencing. Along with this, the PM also released equity grant of more than 14 crores to about 351 Farmer Producer Organizations, this will benefit more than 1.24 lakh farmers.

In the virtual event, Modi also released equity grant of over Rs 14 crore to 351 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs). This will benefit 1.24 lakh farmers. Chief ministers of nine states, ministers of various states and representatives of agricultural institutions also participated in this program in a virtual way. On this occasion, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that an amount of Rs 20,900 crore has been transferred to the accounts of 10.09 crore beneficiaries on the first day of the new year 2022.
He said that the PM-Kisan program has been launched to help the government in its efforts to double the income of farmers. Earlier the ninth installment of PM-Kisan was released in August, 2021. After the release today, Rs 1.8 lakh crore has been made available to the farmers under this scheme so far.
The PM-Kisan scheme was announced in the budget of February, 2019. Under this, the first installment was released for the period from December, 2018 to March, 2019.
It should be noted that under the PM Kisan Samman Yojana, financial assistance of Rs 6,000 is provided to the beneficiary farmers in a financial year by the Centre. In which three installments of two thousand rupees are sent to the account of the farmers at an interval of four months. So far, nine installments of this scheme have arrived in the accounts of the farmers. (with agency input)
