PM Kisan: Two years of Modi government’s ambitious ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan)’ scheme have been completed. On this occasion, on Wednesday 24 February, the Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shri Narendra Singh Tomar said that under this scheme, 1.15 lakh crore rupees were sent to the account of 10.75 crore farmers in 2 years. The Union Agriculture Minister said that the farmers who have not got the benefit of this and they are eligible for this scheme, then soon they will get the benefit. Tomar has urged the state governments to campaign for this.
Describing PM Kisan Samman Nidhi as a milestone in Indian history, the Union Agriculture Minister said that due to the foresight of PM Modi, crores of farmers of the country are getting the benefits of the scheme like PM-Kisan. Under the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi, farmers get Rs 6000 in 3 installments of Rs 2000 annually.
Union Agriculture Minister praised the role of states
Agriculture Minister Tomar said that the states have played a good role in the successful implementation of the scheme. He thanked the states and requested that there should be no mistakes in haste or carelessness and that all eligible farmers get respect funds, so that the benefit of the scheme should be extended to other farmers by campaigning. The Union Agriculture Minister said that in villages and states, the number of farmers who should get the benefit of this scheme, but cannot get it. Tomar said that the central government has enough budget for this scheme.

The Union Agriculture Minister said that in just 18 days at the beginning of the scheme, more than 1 crore farmers were given Rs. 2 thousand crores to complete the process, from the identification of the beneficiary farmers to the website.
