New NFO: Veteran fund house SBI Mutual Fund (SBI MF) has launched a New Fund Offer (NFO). This SBI Multicap Fund open ended equity fund will open for subscription on Monday (February 14) next week and investors can invest till the last day of this month i.e. February 28. In this, investors will have to invest at least 5 thousand rupees. The fund will be managed by R Srinivasan and Mohit Jain. Through multicap funds, investors will get exposure to large, mid and small cap companies in 15 sectors. SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) facility is also available in this.

- This NFO is an open-ended equity fund.
- This fund will open for subscription next week on February 14 and investors will be able to invest money in it till the last day of this month.
- At least 5 thousand rupees will have to be invested in this.
- Talking about exit load, one percent fee will have to be borne as load on withdrawal of money before one year.
- You can also invest in this fund through SIP i.e. a fixed amount can also be invested under this scheme in a regular time interval.

What is Multicap Mutual Fund
When you invest in a large cap fund, its money is invested only in large cap companies, mid cap funds in mid cap companies and small cap funds in small cap companies. On the other hand, as per the name, the money of multi cap mutual fund is invested in large cap, small cap and mid cap companies. The advantage of investing in this is that there are no cap restrictions on the fund managers and they can take better steps to increase the returns. These are of three types, one in which the most focus is on large cap stocks, second in which the focus is on mid cap stocks and third in which the focus is on small cap stocks.
