Aurangabad : The brunt of the ongoing tussle among the top officials of the district, people who are dreaming of their own house for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana have been dreaming for the last 7 years. But, the top officials of the administration had turned a blind eye to providing land for the housing scheme. District’s MP Imtiaz Jalil raised this issue in the Lok Sabha as soon as the top officials of the administration were exposed, Divisional Commissioner Sunil Kendrakar and District Magistrate Sunil Chavan woke up. Both those top officers have made available land in Padegaon, Mitmita, Harsul in a hurry on Tuesday.
According to the information received from the sources of the administration, 23 hectares of land can be made available for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. But, on Tuesday, the collector has provided 20 hectares of land at three places adjacent to the city. It is worth noting that in the year 2016, the Central Government started implementing the housing scheme by implementing it. The administration was hesitant to provide land for the housing scheme in Aurangabad, despite the passage of 7 years from the beginning of the scheme. Due to which more than 50 thousand families of the city who had applied for housing scheme for the last 7 years were dreaming of their house.

The housing scheme in the country is being claimed by the central government to be effective. At the same time, in Aurangabad, MP Imtiaz Jaleel had accused the Lok Sabha of failing due to lack of coordination between the top officials. After MP Jalil raised this issue in the Lok Sabha, the Parliamentary Standing Committee has issued notices to the concerned officers of the state government and called them to Delhi to seek answers. Earlier this meeting was to be held on Wednesday. But, due to some reason now this meeting will be held on Friday. In this meeting, Divisional Commissioner Sunil Kendrakar, District Magistrate Sunil Chavan and Municipal Administrator Astik Kumar Pandey will be present and answer on the lapses in the scheme.
Municipal commissioner did correspondence with the district administration several times to give land
On the other hand, municipal sources said that municipal administrator Astik Kumar Pandey was repeatedly corresponding with the district administration for the last two years to provide immediate land for the housing scheme. But, the present collector Sunil Chavan was ignoring the letters given by the city’s municipal commissioner Astik Pandey in providing land. As soon as MP Jalil raised his voice in the Lok Sabha, on Tuesday, Divisional Commissioner Kendrakar, Collector Sunil Chavan, 15.05 hectares in Tisgaon group number, Padegaon group no. It has been decided to provide 3.16 hectares in 69 and 1.02 hectares in Harsul group number 68.
