Thane : The annual budget of Thane Zilla Parishad, Rs 96 crore 78 lakh 84 thousand, was presented by Zilla Parishad Vice President and Finance Committee chairman Subhash Gotiram Pawar on Tuesday. Which is an increase of 18 crore 61 lakhs in the budget as compared to last year.
In this budget, additional provision has been made in the budget for basket stretchers in rural areas, assistance to farmers in case of emergency, educational complexes at taluka level, electricity bills in schools. Also, special emphasis has been given on students, farmers and health facilities in this budget.

In the general meeting chaired by Zilla Parishad President Pushpa Patil, Vice President Subhash Pawar presented the budget with poems like “Takaza hai time ka ki, storm to battle, kahan tak chaloge kinore kinore”, with verses and poems. During this time Public Works Committee Chairman Vandana Bhande, Agriculture Committee President Sanjay Nimse, Women and Child Welfare Committee President Shreya Nimse, Social Welfare Committee President Prakash Telivare, Chief Executive Officer in-charge Girish Bhalerao etc. were present.
Basket Stretcher for Emergency Relief of Patients
Pawar said that many new schemes have been included in this year’s budget. Including architect/consultant for construction project of Zilla Parishad Schools at Taluka level, basket stretcher for emergency relief of patients in rural areas in case of emergency, vehicles for speedy delivery of medicines in rural areas, scanning of documents etc.
The basic budget of 2022-23 is Rs 96 crore 79 lakh 72 thousand 315. 96 crore 78 lakh 84 thousand is estimated to be spent next year. The budget was presented on the basis of average income of the last three years, arrears of stamp duty, land revenue subsidy, non-agriculture tax, water bill, panchayat samiti etc.
Emphasis on completing development works
A provision of Rs 13 crore has been made for road repair. Along with this, in the budget, he pledged to keep the school clean. Apart from giving priority to cleanliness by organizing cleanliness and fair office competition in Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti offices, solar street lights, beekeeping business, walking, Krishi Loan Mitra Scheme, emergency assistance to farmers, assistance to students in aided hostels of backward classes and Emphasis has been laid on carrying out development works like educational travel, repair of multipurpose centre, construction of new wells, hand pumps, solar pumps and electric pumps etc.
