Pimpri : The year 2022-23 of the ‘rich’ Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation amidst the preparations for the general election and the original Rs 4961 crore 65 lakh for this new financial year and the central and state government (State A total budget of Rs 6497 crore 2 lakh along with the rewarding schemes of the Government was presented before the Additional Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Vikas Dhakane Standing Committee on Friday. Being an election year, the budget does not include any taxes or rate hikes. This is the 40th budget of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. Although this is the second budget of Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Patil’s tenure, but last year he presented only the budget prepared by the then Commissioner Shravan Hardikar.
The online budget special meeting of the committee was convened today under the chairmanship of Standing Committee Chairman Ed Nitin Landge. In this, in the presence of Municipal Corporation Chief Accounts and Finance Officer Jitendra Kolambe, Additional Commissioner Vikas Dhakne, Ulhas Jagtap Ed. Presented a budget of Rs 6497 crore to Nitin Landge for the year 2021- 2022, including the reformed and basic and government schemes for the year 2022- 2023. Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Patil was absent while presenting the budget. This is the first time in the history of the Municipal Corporation that the budget was presented in the absence of the commissioner. After presenting the budget in the Standing Committee, the announcement of adjournment of this special meeting till February 23 to study it was made by the chairman of the committee, Ed. Significant allocation of budget
The basic budget of the Municipal Corporation is 4961 crore 65 lakh rupees, excluding the schemes of the central and state government. In this, Rs 5 crore 2 lakh will be left at the end of March 2023. Indirect expenditure 4956 crore 63 lakh has been shown in this budget. Rs.1618 crore 68 lakh has been allocated for various development projects. For regional level development works A, B, K, D, E, F, C, respectively 28 crore 23 lakh, 8 crore 94 lakh, 19 crore 31 lakh, 7 crore 38 lakh, 6 crore 71 for these eight regional offices Lakhs, 12 crores 91 lakhs, 8 crores 20 lakhs, 23 crores 46 lakhs have been allocated. In this budget Rs 1457 crore 11 lakh for urban poor, Rs 200 crore for water supply special fund, Rs 45 crore for various schemes for women, Rs 50 crore for smart city, Rs 25 crore for metro, Swachh Bharat Mission Rs 10 crore has been allocated for Divyang welfare schemes, Rs 44 crore for various innovative special schemes, Rs 968 crore 38 lakh has been allocated.
Involvement of many important undertakings
In the financial year 2022-23, the Municipal Corporation has included important undertakings. These include eliminating traffic congestion in the city through Pay and Park scheme, creating separate toilets for third parties, providing employment and self-employment opportunities by providing skill training for their overall development, setting up a welfare center for the disabled in Pimpri. includes doing. Establishment of infrastructure for women self-help groups, development of state-of-the-art dog parks with medical facilities in the city, induction of electric vehicles in the fleet of municipal vehicles, multi-nodal parking slots in all wards and divisional offices, various parts of the city Development of food courts in India, development of sales areas for roadside traders Important initiatives, schemes and projects include development of transfer stations, development of world class city centre, construction of new municipal administrative building, establishment of material recovery facility in MIDC area.
