Government has notified the Drone Certification Scheme
Last week itself, the government announced the Drone Certification Scheme to ease the operation of drones. Under this, the Drone Certification Scheme was also notified to make the operation of drones simple, fast and transparent. The notification issued by the Ministry of Civil Aviation said that the government is working to establish the world’s leading drone ecosystem in India. This will create a physical and digital infrastructure to support the safe and efficient access of millions of drones into Indian airspace.

Global certification framework will be ready
It said, with the release of the Drone Rules, 2021, it has been possible to establish a Global Certification and Accreditation Framework for drones in the country, which would enable the widely required safeguards, commercial use of various drone technologies.
One time registration has to be done
The government has created a digital sky platform for the registration and operation of drones, in which the entire process is digital. In this, users need to complete one time registration for their drones, pilots and owners. If a user wants to fly any of his flights in the Yellow or Red Zone, then he can request for the flight online.
The government said, flexible drone regulations as well as airspace map, PLI scheme and single window of digital sky platform will help boost India’s drone manufacturing industry.
