Railway Recruitment Board Exam 2020: Good news for those who want a job in railway. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced the dates for the examination for appointment in Railways. This is for those jobs which were advertised earlier. RRB will conduct these exams for appointment in Railway (Non-Technical Popular Category) NTPC category, Isolated and Ministerial category and Railway level 1. These examinations will start from December 15.
The Railways will appoint 1,663 posts for the Isolated and Ministerial category, while for NTPC there are 35,208 vacancies and Level 1 has 1,03,769 vacancies. By adding all these, there are a total of 1,40,640 vacancies.
Exams were postponed due to Corona
Railway Board Chairman VK Yadav had told in September that about 2.42 crore applications have been received for these posts. At that time the chairman of the Railway Board had said that the examination could not be conducted till now due to the COVID-19 epidemic. Yadav had said that the computer-based examination for the three categories of posts will start from December 15 and a detailed schedule will be announced soon.
Yadav said that he has invited applications for recruitment to 1,40,640 posts in various categories. Their notification was issued before COVID. The investigation of these applications was completed but the computer-based examination could not be completed due to COVID-19 epidemic.

The notification for these posts was released by the board in 2019. And after a long wait, a schedule of railway examinations has been released for those preparing for government jobs.
In the NTPC category, Indian Railways will appoint senior type keeper, commercial apprentice, station master, traffic assistant, senior commercial cum ticket clerk, junior clerk cum typist, etc. Appointments will be made for the posts of Chief Law Assistant, Junior Translator (Hindi), etc. in the Isolated and Ministerial category.
