The Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) has signed an MoU with Delhi Prisons division for coaching and talent enhancement of inmates to help their long run rehabilitation. As part of the settlement, the DSEU will provide completely different skill-based programs at Tihar Jail and award certificates upon profitable completion of this system to inmates that can assist them get employed after their launch, jail officers stated.
“This skill training would enable inmates upon release to have an opportunity to respectfully integrate themselves into the society,” a senior jail official stated. According to the officers, for this, DSEU can be deploying trainers to impart skill-based programs for recognized teams throughout the jail premises.
An in depth evaluation of current expertise and market necessities will probably be performed earlier than the launch of the programs, which will probably be tailored for the prisoners, the officers stated.
“This program will help us add various skill courses for inmates in our jails which will help them earn their livelihood upon release. This will give the inmates a better opportunity to lead a dignified life,” ,Sandeep Goel, director normal (prisons), stated.
Under the collaboration, the college can even conduct joint workshops, seminars and conferences with main specialists for innovation in supply of talent applications in such a novel setting, he stated.
