The Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University (DPSRU) has launched two new programs to offer specialised expertise to medical science college students and improve the job prospects for them, stated a Delhi authorities assertion on Monday.
The new programs on the Delhi government-run college are B.Sc. Biomedical Science and B.Sc. Nursing. The programs intention to supply super-specialisations within the third and fourth years of the course in fields similar to diagnostics, radiology strategies.
According to Ramesh Ok Goyal, vice-chancellor, DPSRU the college will signal an MoU with Ambedkar Nagar Hospital, Dakshinpuri, and likewise another hospitals in Delhi to offer hands-on expertise to college students. “University will ensure that each student gets required field exposure while doing their specialisation,” Goyal stated. He additionally added that the programs shall be a choice-based credit score system with provision of a number of exits as per the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
“There has been an increase in demand for healthcare manpower, specialised patient support services and management in post Covid situations. These courses will provide specialised skills to medical science students and will increase the job prospects for them. DPSRU will customise these courses as per the needs of the time and the syllabus will be dynamic,” Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister stated.
