BPSC 66th Mains: Bihar Public Service Commission has announced the dates of 66th Joint Main Entrance Exam. The registration process for the mains exam will start from April 6 and the candidates will be able to register by April 30. Candidates can log on to bpsc.bih.nic.in for more information. Its examinations will be held on 5 June.
The deadline for documents verification is 7 May till 5 pm. Candidates have to send it to BPSC, 15, Nehru Paath (Beli Road), Patna-800001. For verification, the registration number, application number and bar code will have to be mentioned on the cover of the documents that the BPSC office is sending.

Final merit will be made on the marks obtained in mains and interviews
The BPSC Mains exam will be in two shifts, 10 am to 1 pm and the second shift exam from 2 pm to 5 pm. The exam will be of three hours and the minimum qualifying criterion is 40 per cent marks. The reserved category candidates will be given some relief in the cut-off. After clearing the Mains exam, the candidates will be called for an interview which will be of 120 marks. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the mains and interviews.
30% posts reserved for women
Through the BPSC Combined Examination, the posts of Block Panchayat Raj Officer, Superintendent of Police, Upper Election Officers, Bihar Probation Officers, Planning Commissioners, Jail Superintendent etc. will be recruited. Under this, recruitment will be done on 462 posts, out of which 169 posts are reserved for women, that is, about 30 percent. The pre-exam took place on December 27 last year, in which around 2.8 lakh candidates participated. The results of the pre exam were declared on March 24 this year and around 9 thousand candidates qualified for the mains.
