Special Initiatives Under Make In India
Samsung’s display unit is a classic example of the success of the Make in India programme. In 2019, Samsung set up one of its largest mobile manufacturing units in Noida. In less than two years, its work was completed in April 2021. About 10 thousand crores have been invested in both the units of Samsung.
12 crore units to be made in a year
The plant is planned to have a manufacturing capacity of three million display units per month. At present the installed manufacturing capacity of mobile phones is around 9 crore per annum. Now the target is to increase the capacity to 12 crores per year. As a result of which Uttar Pradesh will become one of the largest exporters of India.
US$ 26.2 billion exports from UP

The work of constructing the power line for Samsung’s project was completed in just 4 months, which is a different record for UP in India.
According to the news agency language, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the state government is ready to provide all possible help to the manufacturing unit of Samsung. He assured the delegation that the Samsung company would continue to be supported by the state government.
