A poultry processing plant in North Wales is about to shut on the finish of the month, with greater than 700 jobs set to be misplaced.
2 Sisters in Llangefnni, Anglesey, is about to shut on 31 March after no options to closure have been discovered.
Isle of Anglesey County Council’s chief has known as the announcement “devastating news for the workforce and their families”.
It is anticipated that solely 25-30 members of workers of the present 730 can be employed on-site as of 1 April.
The firm, based in 1993, has its headquarters in Birmingham.
The last formal session assembly between firm bosses, Unite and worker representatives was held on Wednesday and it was confirmed that there have been “no viable alternatives to closure”.
