The Confederation Indian Industries (CII) says that the impact of the Bharat Bandh could not be compensated. Because hotels, business establishments, rail or bus services are completely stalled for a day, they are not able to compensate for the loss of that day.

Today, ‘Bharat Bandh’ has been done after the completion of four months of the farmer movement against the three agricultural laws of the central government. The general public is troubled by the Bharat Bandh. But do you know how much the economy suffers from a one-day Bharat bandh? According to industry estimates, one day Bharat Bandh causes the economy to lose about 25 to 30 thousand crores.
The Confederation of Indian Industries says that the impact of the Bharat Bandh could not be compensated. Because hotels, business establishments, rail or bus services are completely stalled for a day, they are not able to compensate for the loss of that day. The earnings of that day go away, due to which the tax received by the government also goes away.
The major impact of the shutdown is visible
According to the United Kisan Morcha (SKM), which is leading the agitation on different borders of the country’s capital Delhi, this nationwide bandh will be for 12 hours i.e. from 6 am to 6 pm. During this time, roads and markets have been closed and rail services may also be affected. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has informed that the entry and exit gates of Tikari Border, Pandit Shri Ram Sharma, Bahadurgarh City and Brigadier Hoshiar Singh Metro Station have been closed due to the performance of farmers.
Rail services also affected
Talking about rail services, the railways have told that in Punjab and Haryana, protesters are protesting in 31 places, due to which the operation of trains has been affected. So far, train service has been affected in 32 places, 4 Shatabdi trains have been canceled. In Amritsar, Punjab, farmers have blocked the railway track during Bharat Bandh. The protesting farmers are sitting on the railway tracks.
Traders are not involved in the bandh
On behalf of 40 thousand trade organizations of the country, the Confederation of All India Traders has clarified that all business establishments in Delhi and across the country will be open tomorrow and normal business activities will continue. Kat does not support this India bandh. Neither a farmer organization has spoken to us to support Bharat Bandh nor does CAT itself support this bandh. Our view is that the deadlock between the farmers and the government should be resolved through a process of negotiation.
