Lilt is being axed after practically 50 years and will probably be rebranded as Fanta Pineapple and Grapefruit.
The drink is legendary for providing a “totally tropical taste”, with one well-known 1988 advert displaying the “Lilt man” delivering cans on a sun-kissed seaside.
“The Lilt ladies”, performed by two Jamaican ladies, grew to become the face of the model within the Nineties.
The Coca-Cola Company stated the drink will use the identical formulation when it turns into Fanta – with the primary cans and bottles showing in outlets from 14 February.
Coke government Martin Attock advised The Grocer he needed to reassure followers “absolutely nothing has changed when it comes to the iconic taste”.

Others on social media have been stunned it was nonetheless out there – and a few stated it was many years since they sampled the drink’s tropical delights.
