Mother dairy Milk Prices : The increase in the price of petrol and diesel has started affecting the food items. After the price of fruits and vegetables, now the price of milk has started increasing. After Amul, now Mother Dairy has also increased the prices of milk. Mother Dairy’s milk price will increase by Rs 2 per liter in Delhi-NCR from Sunday. Earlier, the company had raised milk prices for the last time in December 2019. Mother Dairy sells more than 30 lakh liters of milk daily in Delhi-NCR. Earlier, Amul Company had increased the price of milk by Rs 2 per liter from July 1.

Mother Dairy said that it has to increase the price of its milk by Rs 2 per liter in Delhi-NCR. The new rates of milk in Delhi-NCR will be applicable from Sunday (July 11, 2021). The new prices will be applicable on all varieties of milk. The company has been under pressure from inflation for the last several years. Apart from this, there have been bottlenecks in the production of milk in the epidemic. For the last one year, the prices of many things, including animal feed, have increased by 8 to 10 percent. Processing, packaging and logistics costs have also increased.

‘The increase is less than the cost’
Mother Dairy said in its statement, “It is a matter of note that in the last three-four weeks alone the prices of agricultural products required for milk production have increased by about 4 percent. Despite paying higher prices for the purchase of milk in the last one year, consumer prices were maintained. After this amendment, milk prices are being increased by 4 per cent. Actually, the effect of petrol and diesel on inflation has been seen to be fast. After fruits and vegetables, edible oil and cereals, milk is now being hit by inflation.
