The company has said that it has received a let-off award from the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) for developing three major portions of the project.
17 thousand crore rupees will be spent on the expressway project
According to the report of PTI, Rs 17 thousand crore will be spent on the Ganga Expressway project. Along with this, this is the largest expressway project in the country to be given to a private company under the PPP model. AEL will form three groups of access controlled six lane expressways in the state. Later it will be expanded to eight lanes. It has a Concession Period of 30 years.

Ganga Expressway Project is long from Meerut to Prayagraj. This will be the longest expressway in the country. The project will be on the Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer model i.e. DBFOT model and. Its total length is 594 km. Adani’s company will develop a 464-km stretch of this expressway. That is, the part from Badaun to Prayagraj will be made by AEL. During the last few years, AEL has focused heavily on the emerging infra business.
