IIT Kanpur has signed an important agreement with bio-tech company I-2 Cure (I2 Cure). Under this agreement, both institutions will work for the development of anti-viral, anti-bacterial products based on molecular iodine. The Biological Sciences and Bio-Engineering wing of IIT Kanpur will lead the project. Both institutions will work as equity partners in this project.
Shakes hands with bio-tech company that manufactures bioshield
I-2 Cure is a bio-tech company that produces 99.99 percent of the products found to be effective in destroying the COVID-19 virus. According to the company, BioShield is a broad-spectrum anti-microbial that provides protection against many harmful bacteria and micro-organisms, including the COVID-19 virus, up to several hours after application on the skin. After this agreement with IIT Kanpur, the two institutions will now work together for the development of many new products, including the effective ‘BioShield’ against the COVID-19 virus.
Testing of international research in Indian conditions
According to the statement issued on behalf of IIT Kanpur, according to the agreement with I-2 Cure, the research required to further develop the company’s products will be done at IIT Kanpur in the future. During this time, the researchers of IIT Kanpur will also confirm after examining the international research of famous scientist Dr. Jack Kessler according to Indian conditions. The anti-viral product bioshield of I-2 Cure is the result of Dr. Kessler’s research.
Make in India products will be developed for the international market
According to a statement issued by IIT Kanpur, IIT Kanpur will also develop new Make in India products based on molecular iodine in collaboration with I-2 Cure. These products to be developed for the international market will be related to preventive health, veterinary science and agriculture. According to the statement issued by IIT Kanpur, with the help of these products based on molecular iodine, the total income of farmers can increase by more than $ 15 billion annually. In IIT Kanpur, this research will be done under the direction of Dr. Ganesh S., Dr. Ashok Kumar, Dr. Amitabh Bandopadhyay.
Products developed at IIT Kanpur will reach all over the world
Dr. Ashok Kumar of Kanpur IIT believes that the research and the products developed here will get special recognition in the whole world from this project. In addition, the faculty members and research scholars of the institute will get the opportunity to share knowledge with eminent scientists like Dr. Jack Kessler. Dr. Kessler is a well-known scientist in iodine technology, especially in the field of molecular iodine, whose names have many international patents registered.
According to Anil Kejriwal, the founder chairman of I-2 Cure, his company will work with IIT-Kanpur to deliver products made in India to the whole world. An alumnus of IIT Kanpur, Anil Kejriwal expressed confidence that the joint effort of the two organizations will help in achieving the goal of making India a $ 5 trillion economy by advancing the Make in India mission.
