The country’s leading automaker Tata Motors can soon introduce its new car Tata HBX in India. According to the reports, this car can be presented on August 4. Although the company has not yet disclosed the name of this car. It is believed that it could be named HBX Mini SUV.
The Hornbill will be the company’s smallest SUV and the design of this 5 seater, sub 4 meter model has been taken from Tata’s flagship SUV Harrier and Safari. Before the launch of this SUV, sources had informed that the production of this car has started and it is ready to be dispatched to the dealers.
Design of Tata HBX Hornbill
The company’s Impact 2.0 design will be available in this micro SUV. Its front design will be similar to that of the Harrier, which will come with Tata’s signature ‘Humanity Line’ grille. After the Altroz hatchback, the Hornbill is the second model in the company’s lineup to be built on the ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) platform. Due to this, it is also expected that it will get excellent safety and this SUV will achieve a tremendous safety rating.
Apart from this, the design of this SUV has been given split headlamp cluster with LED DRLs and low mounted circular fog lamps, LED taillamps with tri-arrow pattern, roof mounted spoiler and 15-inch dual tone alloy wheels. With this, the interior will get a floating touchscreen which will come with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity and with this it will get a semi-digital instrument cluster. Along with this, it will get multi-function, 3 spoke and flat bottom steering wheel with steering mounted controls. Apart from this, it will also get dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking camera.

This mini SUV will get a 1.2 liter Revotron petrol engine which will generate 85hp power and 113Nm torque. Along with this, it will get a 5 speed transmission as a standard option and a 5 speed AMT option will also be available. After launch, Tata HBX Hornbill will compete with Mahindra KUV100, Maruti Suzuki Ignis. The starting price of this SUV will be Rs 5 lakh.
