Suggestions made to the Government
Under the Self-Reliance India Mission, subsidy assistance to reduce dependence on China, reduction of one and a half year time required for Environmental Clearance Certificate, clearance of B2 Category Chemicals in two months, permission to expand new-old industries on a performance basis.
Local purchases will be boosted
Gujarat’s chemical industry will play an important role in building a લાખ 5 trillion economy by 2025. Minister of State for Environment, Forests and Climate Babul Supriyo has called on Gujarat’s chemical companies to make recommendations for growth at the Gujarat Chemical Conclave under the title Challenges and Way Forward organized by CII.
One can become self-sufficient by setting up an estate near Khambhat
Bhupendra Patel, the regional chairman, Camexil, said the government had issued a tender for laying a sea pipeline from Ahmedabad. So if the government helps to set up a chemical estate around Ahmedabad, especially near Khambhat, Gujarat is capable of challenging China in the chemical industry.
