Central employees can soon get the benefit of increased DA. With this, dearness allowance will be added to the basic salary, due to which their monthly salary will increase.
DA of government employees will be increased
The Central Government is going to give the benefit of Dearness Allowance (DA) approved under the Seventh Pay Commission from July 1, 2021 to 52 lakh employees and more than 65 lakh pensioners. This proposal has been stuck since last year due to the Corona epidemic. But recently the government has confirmed the implementation of Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) withheld in Parliament from next month. Therefore, the employees are expected to get the increased salary from next month. It is believed that DA will be increased from 11% to 28%.
At present, the employees are being given dearness allowance of 17 per cent of the basic pay. If there is an increase in DA from July, then there is a total increase of 11 percent in the pending DA from January to June 2020 by 3 percent, from July to December 2020 by 4 percent and from January to June by 4 percent.
Annual allowance will be more than 32 thousand
Under the Seventh Pay Commission, the salary of an employee includes three essential things, in which basic pay, allowance and deduction are part of it. As per the Pay Matrix, the minimum basic pay of the employees is Rs 18,000. Rs 2,700 per month will be added directly to the increase in basic pay. With this increase, the total dearness allowance of the employees will increase by about Rs 32,400 on an annual basis. This calculation is based on Matrix Pay Calculator.
NVS employees will get increased medical claim
Apart from the increased DA, the central employees are going to get another gift. A few days ago, the government had also informed about the increase in medical claims of employees working in Navodaya Vidyalaya School (NVS). According to a circular issued by the Ministry of Education, the limit of medical claim of NVS principals has been increased from Rs 5000 to Rs 25,000. In such a situation, the annual medical reimbursement claim limit for the principals of NVS has been revised. If treated in a government or CGHS recognized hospital, they can claim up to Rs 25,000.
