Apart from this, one kilo of a whole gram is given to each family. Initially, the scheme was launched for three months in April, May and June, but later it has been extended to November. During the first three months, there was a provision of giving one kg of processed lentils to each beneficiary family, but from July onwards, the whole gram is replaced instead of pulses.
