Omega Seiki Mobility Managing Director Dev Mukherjee said the company would introduce electric towers for passenger and freight segments by April next year. At the same time, four-wheel cargo vehicles and tractors will be introduced by the end of 2021 or early 2022. The electric towers will have lithium ion battery. These scooters are already in advanced stage of testing / trials. Electric pickup truck will come with two-ton loading capacity. This electric truck will be able to cover a distance of 200 km on a single charge.
Electric tractor price
About electric tractor, Mukherjee said that its power will be 30-40 HP and the price will be around 10-12 lakh rupees. Mukherjee says that electric tractors can be beneficial for small farmers. More than 80 percent of the farmers in India have less than 1 acre of land. A diesel tractor costs 150-200 rupees for an hour, while our electric tractor costs only 20-30 rupees for an hour.
There will be 200 dealerships by the end of 2021
Apart from this, the company wants to increase its number of dealerships to 200 by the end of next year. Udaya Narang, chairman of the Anglian Omega Group, says that the company has initially planned to invest Rs 200 crore on these projects. The company is planning to raise another Rs 1,000 crore for financing its expansion plans.
