Italy’s luxury car maker Maserati is planning to expand its reach in tier II and III cities of the country to boost sales of its vehicles. A senior company official said that the increasing demand for super luxury brands in these cities is proving to be a change maker.
Maserati started its business in India in 2015. The company is improving its after sales to improve the customer experience. Bojan Jankulowski, Head of Maserati APAC, said Maserati is pushing for demand to launch its products in Tier II and Tier III Indian markets. He further added that though metros have always acted as a broader market for the brand but the demand coming from cities like Lucknow, Kanpur, Indore, Bhopal, Mangalore, Chandigarh, Goa and many more has been an important step in expanding the reach of the company. A new base will be ready.
Super sports car Maserati MC20 to be launched next year
He further said that the reason for increasing the reach in these markets is the growing customers here who have a lot of money to spend. Jankulowski further said that these cities have so much potential that they will continue to provide us with better opportunities in future also. Along with this, the company also plans to launch its super sports car Maserati MC20 in the first quarter of 2022 and Levante Hybrid in the fourth quarter of 2021.
New versions of Levante and Quattroporte will be introduced
Talking about now, the company currently offers luxury cars like Ghibli and Quattroporte sedans, Levante SUV and GranTurismo and GranCabrio sports cars with a starting price of Rs 1.15 crore. Jankulowski has also informed that Maserati is also planning to introduce the Levante and Quattroporte of the Trofeo range in India. He said that the most powerful V8 engine has been installed in it and the Levante is the fastest SUV ever with a speed of 304 kmph and it can be introduced in the third quarter of 2021 in India.
