The base variant of the S-Cross Petrol starts at Rs 8.39 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top end variant costs Rs 12.39 lakh (ex-showroom). This car is about Rs 11,000 cheaper than the BS4 diesel version. The S-Cross is Maruti’s premium crossover car and is available at Nexa showrooms.

The Maruti S-Cross Petrol was brought in a total of four trims including the Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. It can be booked in advance of Rs 11,000 by visiting the company’s Nexa website or Nexa dealerships across the country.

The Maruti S-Cross is being made available with a petrol engine option for the first time, before the diesel engine has been discontinued. Talking about its biggest change engine, it has been fitted with a 1.5 liter petrol engine, which provides 103 bhp power and 138 newton meter of torque.

It has a choice of 4-speed automatic gearbox with 5-speed manual. Along with this, the company has also given the option of smart hybrid technology in petrol, with this variant also there is an option of manual and automatic.

No major changes have been made other than the engine. Talking about the features in the Maruti S-Cross, it has a SmartPlay Studio infotainment system, front two airbags, climate control, height adjustment for driver seat, leather upholstery and color MID for the first time.

Other features include automatic ORVM, LED headlamps, alloy wheels, engine push button start, cruise control, automatic climate control. The Maruti S-Cross has been made available in five color options, Blue, Brown, Gray, White and Silver.

So far, 1.25 lakh units of Maruti S-Cross models have been sold. Its BS4 models were discontinued after BS6 emission regulations came into force in the country. The S-Cross petrol has recently been spotted in the dealer yard, with the expectation that delivery can be started soon.
