Mahindra is doing amazing in the Thar market and in such a situation the company does not want to shift its focus from SUVs. In the future, the company can launch the XUV500.
Vijay Nakra, CEO of Mahindra & Mahindra’s automotive sector, has said that the company will distance itself from the sedan segment. Nakra revealed this during an interview with Powerdrift. Mahindra is known for its SUV manufacturing in which it enjoys legend status. Mahindra is often in the spotlight due to Thar but the company also has several long running vehicles in which the Bolero and Scorpio dominate the company’s lineup.
Let us tell you that there was a time when Mahindra partnered with Renault to bring Logan. However, this partnership broke down within a few days. Mahindra then launched this vehicle as Verito which is being sold as EV. It is used for the fleet.
In such a situation, this was the only car that was Mahindra’s last sedan. Nakra said that, we want to make it clear that we will never make sedans. Let us know that Mahindra is doing amazing in the Thar market and in such a situation, the company does not want to remove its focus on SUVs. In the future, the company can launch the XUV500.
