new Delhi. Today is the third anniversary of Balakot air strike. Significantly, after the terrorist attack on the CRPF convoy in Pulwama, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, called a meeting of the Security Cabinet Committee the very next day. Then the Indian Intelligence Agency RAW (RAW) gave accurate inputs of the terrorist bases and then on 26 February 2019, the Indian Air Force entered Balakot and all the bases of Jaish-e-Mohammed. was completely devastated and destroyed.
Remember that wretched day of 14th February 2019
By the way, if we talk about Pakistan, then this country has always been in the forefront of terrorism and proxy war against our country India. Then who can forget that fateful day of 14th February 2019 when this very country behind our backs got the cowardly terrorist attack done in Pulwama. Let us know that on 14 February 2019, the biggest terrorist suicide attack ever took place in Goripora near Awantipora in Jammu and Kashmir. This attack was done through IED blast targeting the vehicle of CRPF. It is to be known that this attack on the vehicles of CRPF took place when the convoy of army personnel was going from Jammu to Srinagar. In this terrorist attack, India lost 40 of its brave soldiers and the sons of the country.
When PM Modi gave a stern warning
At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while assuring the people of this attack and giving a stern warning to Pakistan, said that “they will have to pay a heavy price for this”. The Prime Minister had told the countrymen that as the fire is burning inside you, I am feeling the same fire inside me. After this, PM Modi had given a free hand to the Indian forces for action.
When the Air Force got the responsibility
However, the most important thing was the exact intel from RAW. RAW extracted very accurate information about terrorist hideouts. He had very clear and nice and accurate pictures of those spots. The responsibility of this mission was assigned to the Air Force because, the target spot was 50 km away from the LOC. Now it was the turn to select a jet to execute it, for which Mirage was selected again. The geographical conditions of Balakot were the most important reason for the selection of Miraj.
The date and codeword are ‘locked’
At the same time, 26 March was chosen because all the foreign guests were going to return after the Army’s Arrow India Air Show. Then the Indian Air Force Chief RKS Bhadauria gave this mission a codeword named ‘Bandar’. Along with this, the enemy did not get any idea of the mission in any way, so the Miraj planes were flown from Gwalior. After that, via Bareilly, Miraj entered Pakistan via Srinagar.
’90 Seconds’ and target is ‘Nestnabood’
After this, on the night of the attack i.e. on February 26, at 2 pm, the Air Force team took its flight. Moving towards their destination, the IAF pilots saw a reconnaissance aircraft of the Pak Air Force patrolling the skies of Rawalpindi. To divert him from there, the IAF sent two Sukhoi-30 and four Jaguar aircraft towards Bahawalpur.
After this the first airstrike took place at 3:28 pm and by four o’clock the mission was completed. All the fighter jets of the Air Force returned safely to their soil and landed at two bases of the Western Command. All this was done in just 90 seconds. With this, this operation monkey was successful in completely destroying all its targets.
However, after this some fighter jets of Pakistan had entered India. To this, India gave a befitting reply to Pakistan. Then Indian Air Force Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman flew in a MiG-21 and shot down a Pakistan fighter plane. During this Abhinandan’s plane also crashed and he had fallen in PoK. Where he was taken into custody by the Pakistan Army. Who later had to bow down to Pakistan due to diplomatic pressure from India and they were again released safely.
Today even though 3 years have passed since this heinous terrorist attack by Pakistan. But we have never forgotten this attack nor will we ever forget our brave sons who sacrificed their lives laughing and laughing for our country and nothing is bigger than the country, we were taught this. Along with this, we took a big and bold step like Balakot Air Strike, taking revenge for the death of these martyred brave sons, due to which the whole of Pakistan trembled. Along with this, he also got this message that, ‘We do not tease anyone and if someone teases us, we do not even leave him.’
