Hyundai Motor India has informed that the company’s cumulative sales have increased to 54,474 units last month. On the other hand, Kia Motors India sold 15,015 cars in June as compared to 11,050 in May.

Leading automobile company Hyundai Motor India’s sales in June grew by more than 100 percent on a year-on-year basis. The company said that the company’s cumulative sales have increased to 54,474 units last month as against 26,820 units sold during June 2020.
On a sequential basis, the company had cumulatively sold 30,703 units in May 2021. Domestic sales have increased to 40,496 units from 21,320 units in the corresponding period last year. Similarly, the company sold 13,978 units in June this year as against 5,500 units sold overseas in June 2020.

Kia India grew 36 percent in June
Car maker Kia India said on Thursday that in June 2021, the wholesale sales of its cars increased by 36 percent. During this time the company sold 15,015 cars while in May this number was 11,050. The company sold 8,549, 5,963 and 503 units of its Seltos, Sonet and Carnival cars respectively last month.
Tae-Jin Park, Chief Sales and Business Strategy Officer, Kia India, said in a statement, “Customer sentiment has shown signs of improvement over the past few weeks and we remain optimistic about the future.” However, he added, the company is reviewing the performance on a weekly basis keeping in mind the prevailing situation, evaluating measures to meet the demand for its vehicles.
The car company said that the company expects to do well in the second half of the year after performing well in the first half of the calendar year. Between January and June this year, the South Korean car company has sold around 100,000 cars in the Indian market.
Royal Enfield sales increased in June
Motorcycle maker Royal Enfield, a subsidiary of Eicher Motors, said on Thursday that its total sales in June stood at 43,048 units as compared to May. In May, the company sold 27,294 motorcycles. The company sold a total of 35,815 units in the domestic market last month as against 20,073 in May. The company said in a statement that it exported 7,233 motorcycles in June as against 7,221 in May.
