Jaguar Land Rover India is all set to launch the Electric Jaguar I-Pace SUV in India today. It is the second luxury electric SUV in the country after Mercedes-Benz EQC. Jaguar Land Rover India has already opened I-Pace booking since November last year.
The company has tied up with Tata Power to provide charging solutions to i-Pace customers. Jaguar Land Rover India also announced that 22 dealerships out of 19 cities are ready with charging stations to support the brand’s first electric offering. Here are five things you need to know before the official launch of the electric SUV tomorrow.
These amazing features will be available in SUV
The Jaguar i-Pace electric SUV has a length of 4,682 mm, width 2,011 mm and height 1,566 mm. The wheelbase and ground clearance are 2,990 mm and 174 mm. It has a coupe-like profile with a sliding bonnet, LED headlamps, honeycomb pattern grille and a large panoramic sunroof. The interior is also sufficient for five people. The highlight of the cabin is the futuristic dashboard with digital display unit. It also gets an 8-way adjustable semi-powered Luxtec sport seat, 380 W Meridian sound system, interactive driver display, 3D solar camera, driver condition monitor, head-up display, adaptive cruise control among other features. The I-Pace will also feature cabin air ionization that facilitates PM2.5 filtering for Ultrabone airports.
80 percent battery is charged in 45 minutes
The electric Jaguar i-Pace SUV has a 90kWh lithium-iron battery pack, which takes just 45 minutes to charge up to 80 percent through a 100kW fast charging unit. However, it may take up to 10 hours to fully charge the SUV with a 7kWh AC wall box charger. The battery comes with an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty. Owners of I-PACE will get a 5-year service package, 5-year Jaguar Roadside Assistance.
Will cover a distance of 480 kilometers in a single charge
Jaguar I-Pace will be able to cover a distance of about 480 kilometers on a single charge. Jaguar’s i-Pace has two electric motors, which will generate 395 Bhp of power to the car with 696 Nm of peak torque. It also has an AWD (all-wheel drive) system. The electric SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.8 seconds.
Jaguar I-Pace is very good
Since its launch, the Jaguar i-Pace has been one of the flagship products from the British luxury carmaker. It has won several awards including the 2019 World Car of the Year, World Car Design of the Year and World Green Car. The Jaguar i-Pace SUV was also the first car to win all three World Car titles simultaneously. What will be the price
The Jaguar i-Pace electric SUV is expected to cost around Rs 1 crore. It will be priced around the league of its rival Mercedes EQC, which was launched in India last year.
