During the Corona, the sale of Maruti company has been registered due to restrictions and other reasons in different states. There has been more impact in May than in April.
Maruti Suzuki sales decreased
The country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India has suffered heavy losses during the Corona period. The company is facing losses for the last two months. Compared to April, the company’s sales have decreased by about 71 percent in May. According to statistics, the unit of this company has come down to 46,555. Whereas in April, the company sold 1,59,691 vehicles.
Due to the Corona period, restrictions have been imposed in different states and due to the low budget of the people, the sale has come down. Along with this, the company had given some of its centers for industrial use to set up oxygen plants. Due to which Maruti had also stopped its production from May 1 to May 16. Due to this also the company’s sales have been affected.
In May, the company’s supply to dealers was reduced by 75 percent to 35,293 units. This was around 1,42,454 units in April. In the month of May, sales of mini cars Alto and S-Presso declined by about 81 percent to 4,760 units. In April, this figure stood at 25,041 units.
Sales of these vehicles also decreased
Sales of other popular Maruti vehicles like Swift, Celerio, Ignis, Baleno and DZire have also declined by about 72 percent to 20,343 units. Apart from this, sales of sedan Ciaz have come down to 349 units from 1,567 units in April. Sales of company utility vehicles such as Vitara Brezza, S-Cross and Ertiga have fallen by 75 percent to 6,355 units.
