The new Mahindra Thar will be made available in three roof options including hard top, soft top and convertible. Its hard top has a fixed roof, while the soft top has a cloth cover for the back and side. At the same time, the convertible has a folding soft top roof, which can be closed easily.

The new Mahindra Thar has been introduced with a four wheel drive system, it may be the nation’s cheapest four wheel drive system SUV after launch. This system can be placed in 2 high, 4 high and 4 low. Where the system is cut from the front axle at 2high and acts as rear wheel drive. At the same time, in 4 high modes, the torque becomes 2.48 times, due to which Thar can climb easily.

3. Off Road Capacity
The new Mahindra Thar is designed for a better off-road experience, with 226mm ground clearance and 650mm deep water running capacity. Its approach angle is 41.8 degrees, departure angle 36.8 degrees, breakover angle 27 degrees. 33 percent more traction is given than older models.
4. Multiple seating options
Customers can opt for the back seat facing the front or the front facing bench in the new Mahindra Thar. While the first seating option creates seating for four people, the second seating option can accommodate up to six people.

5. Dust and water-resistant interior
The new Mahindra Thar is particularly known for off-road, so in this SUV, IP54 has been given for dust and water protection, switches, steering mounted controls, infotainment system, power windows. This ensures that there is no problem in the interior during offroading.
6. Larger Engine Options
The new Mahindra Thar will be made available with two engine options including a 2.0 liter petrol engine and a 2.2 liter diesel engine. Its new 2.0-liter petrol engine delivers 150 Bhp of power and 320 Newton meter of torque. At the same time, its 2.2 liter diesel engine provides 130 Bhp of power and 350 Newton meter of torque. It has a new 6-speed manual and torque converter automatic gearbox.
