Chandrapur. The revenue department is the main part of the administration, the common citizens have daily dealings with this department. In order to serve the citizens with more ease and mobility, the Revenue Council has been organized for the officers of Nagpur Department on 25th and 26th February. In view of this, Divisional Commissioner Prajakta Lavangare_Verma took a review of the District Magistrates of former Vidarbha.
In a meeting held at the Forest Academy of Chandrapur, Chandrapur District Magistrate Ajay Gulhane, Nagpur District Magistrate R. Vimla, Wardha District Magistrate Prerna Deshbhratar, Gadchiroli District Magistrate Sanjay Meena, Bhandara District Magistrate Dr. Sandeep Kadam, Revenue Deputy Commissioner Milind Salve, Chandrapur Upper District Magistrate Vidyut Varkhedkar, Gondia Upper District Magistrate Rajesh Khawle etc. were present.
Speaking on the occasion, the Divisional Commissioner said that this revenue council would be very important to provide relief to the common man through revenue officers and to complete the work on time. In this, many revenue matters will be discussed and the officers will be benefited in their day to day work.
We all work in emergencies, but we should not neglect matters of revenue. Your department will remain the same even if you are transferred or retired. So focus on the basics of revenue. He suggested that all the officers would benefit from this conference, in view of this, the District Collector, who has been given the responsibility, should make a presentation on his subject.
The council will discuss the provisions of the Revenue Act, minor mineral amendments and provisions, land matters (except land acquisition), computerization of official records, financial and establishment matters and issues related to land acquisition and valuation. For this each District Magistrate has been given responsibility.
Assistant District Magistrate Rohan Ghuge, Assistant District Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate and other officers of other districts were present in the meeting. Efforts were made by Resident Deputy Collector Vishal Meshram, Tehsildar Nilesh Gound, Deputy Tehsildar Sachin Khandale, District Mining Officer Suresh Naitam for the successful conduct of the meeting.
