Pimpri: The newly developed societies in Chikhali area are facing a major water crisis. The residents of Aishwarya Hamara Society had appealed to MLA Mahesh Landge and former mayor and current corporator Rahul Jadhav in this regard. Due to this, Rahul Jadhav got a well dug for the society at his own expense. With this, the water problem of about 25 societies of the area including Aishwarya Hamara Society has been resolved. Its water worship was done at the hands of BJP city president and MLA Mahesh Landage.
The MLA said in his address that Pimpri-Chinchwad city had to depend on wind dam for water supply. However, during the BJP rule, plans have been made during the BJP rule to enable the city’s growing population and water supply resources in the next 50 years. Hence an ambitious project has been taken up to get 263 MLD of water from Bhama-Askade and Andhra projects.
Water purification project work in progress in Chikhali
BJP MLA Mahesh Landage said that the work of water purification project in Chikhli is in progress. Corporator Sarika Borhade, Moshi Chikhli Housing Federation President Sanjeevan Sangle, Nilesh Borate, Nitin Borate, Nikhil Borhade, Mahila Morcha Vice President Sonam Jambhulkar, Yuva Morcha Secretary Mukta Gosavi, Gurudatta Patsanstha President Mangala Jadhav etc. were present on the occasion.

Societies will have less water problem
MLA Landge said that whose role is to work without being dependent on the cooperation of the Municipal Corporation. Former mayor Rahul Jadhav’s name tops the list. Jadhav also provided water tankers, ambulances, crematoriums and drainage vehicles to the citizens of the area at his own expense. Now he has constructed this well at his own expense and connected it to the water pipeline. With this new system, the problem of water in other nearby societies including Aishwarya Hamara will be reduced. The water source was made without waiting for the help of the Municipal Corporation and the administration. MLA Landge appreciated the work of Rahul Jadhav in this regard.
