Chandrapur, Not a single bus was running for more than two months due to the agitation of ST employees who were agitating for the demand for merger with the state government. But for the last two days, buses are being left continuously from Chandrapur Bus Depot. Today a total of 5 buses have been left from Chandrapur with police protection. Which has got a better response from passengers as compared to 6 January.
Due to the movement of ST workers, people still feel that the buses have not started. But in a day or two, passengers will start returning in buses as before. Buses left from Chandrapur to Chimur, Ashti, Gadchandur, Mool and Vani of Gadchiroli district. For the safety of the passengers, a special police van was piloting with the buses. On the basis of the conversation between the piloting van of the police and the bus driver, the buses are being run in full security. All these buses have left from Chandrapur bus stand between 10 am to 11 am.
Bus travel is safe and accessible, this bus passengers have experienced till date. Even though the number of buses is less today, but soon the situation will return to normal and Lalpari will serve the passengers as before, so departmental controller Smita Sutwane has appealed to the passengers to travel in the bus.
