After the anti-France protest in Pakistan, a decision will be taken to expel the French ambassador in the Parliament today. Significantly, Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) has warned the government of Imran Khan that if the ambassador is not removed from the country, there will be mass demonstrations in the country. Protests are being held against France across Pakistan led by TLP. The Imran government has also banned it from the party.
Home Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed of the neighboring country said, a proposal will be brought in the National Assembly regarding the ambassador. The TLP has agreed to demand a shutdown of their protests across the country. However, TLP officials declined to comment on the matter. Please tell that the French President Emmanuel Macron defended the cartoon created by Prophet Mohammed by the controversial magazine Sharley Hebdo. Subsequently, anti-French protests began in Pakistan, which was led by TLP. This led to fierce protests in major cities of the country.
11 police officers released by TLP supporters
The situation became more terrible since last week, when the demonstrations took a violent form. In fact, the Imran government arrested TLP leader Saad Rizvi to control the situation. This provoked further outrage from him and he took out a march in the capital Islamabad, demanding that the French ambassador be taken out of the country. Lahore Police had said that so far six policemen have died in this demonstration. While the 11 police officers, who were taken hostage in the Lahore mosque by TLP supporters, were released on Monday morning in a blood-soaked condition.
France asked its citizens to leave Pakistan
On the other hand, TLP says that many of its workers have been killed in violent clashes with the police. At the same time, the French Embassy in Pakistan last week advised all its citizens living in the country to leave. Sources said that people and families working in the French Embassy are also being brought back to France. Pakistan last week banned the TLP as a terrorist organization. At the same time, the police have arrested thousands of protesters. But Rashid says that no action will be taken against him.
